Terms of service

Last updated July 24, 2026

These terms cover your use of FirstLook — a service that lets you share a moment and invite friends and family to record their reaction. By creating an account or using FirstLook, you agree to these terms.

What FirstLook is

FirstLook lets an originator upload a video announcement, share a private link, and collect video or text reactions from the people they send it to. It’s intended for personal, non-commercial moments — announcements, celebrations, and similar occasions.

Who can use FirstLook

You must be at least 13 years old to create a FirstLook account — or at least 16 if you’re in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you’re under 18, you may only use FirstLook with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By creating an account you confirm you meet these requirements.

Anyone recording a reaction is asked to confirm, before their camera turns on, that they are 18 or older — or that a parent or guardian is present and agreeing on behalf of the person being recorded. We record the fact and wording of that confirmation alongside the reaction.

If you invite someone to record a reaction, you’re responsible for having their permission to record and share that video — and, if they’re a child, their parent or guardian’s permission. Don’t publish anyone’s reaction publicly without asking them first. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, or that a video was recorded or published without the consent it needed, we may remove the content or the account.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content & ownership

You own the videos, messages, and other content you or your recipients upload through FirstLook. By uploading content, you grant FirstLook a limited license to host, store, and transmit it solely for the purpose of operating the service — sharing your announcement, delivering reactions back to you, and generating features like reaction reels you request. We don’t claim ownership of your content, and we don’t sell it or use it to train models.

Acceptable use

Don’t use FirstLook to upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content, to harass anyone, or to attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these terms.

Termination & deletion

You can delete an individual announcement or your entire account at any time from your dashboard settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your announcements, reactions, and stored videos. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers & liability

FirstLook is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the service reliable and your content safe, but we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to FirstLook is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Your responsibility for people you record

You choose who to invite and you choose whether to publish what they send back. If a claim is brought against us because of a reaction recorded through your moment — because the person didn’t agree to be recorded, because they were a child whose guardian didn’t agree, or because you published or shared their reaction beyond what they agreed to — you agree to cover our reasonable costs and damages from that claim. This doesn’t apply to anything caused by our own wrongdoing.

Reporting a problem & removing content

If you were recorded through FirstLook, you can delete your own recording yourself from the page where you recorded it, for as long as that browser keeps the link. Sender-side deletion is also available at any time from the moment’s page.

To report a reaction recorded or published without consent, a copyright concern, or any other abuse, email contact@mail.firstlook.cloud. Tell us the link and what’s wrong with it. We aim to acknowledge reports within three business days and will remove content that breaches these terms. Note that once a sender has downloaded a reaction or built it into a montage video, that copy is outside our systems and we can’t retrieve it.

Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. We’d much rather sort out any problem directly — email contact@mail.firstlook.cloud first and we’ll make a genuine attempt to resolve it. Any dispute that can’t be resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we each consent to those courts. Nothing here prevents either of us from bringing a claim in small-claims court.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FirstLook after a change means you accept the updated terms. We’ll update the “last updated” date above when that happens.
